Comedy Tour Management & Production Services
Platinum Road provides experienced tour management, production management, stage management, security and touring personnel for comedians, management companies, agents, business managers, promoters and producers.

Comedy touring often operates differently from other areas of live entertainment. Touring parties may be smaller, but the Tour Manager is frequently responsible for a much broader range of duties, including production advancing, travel, venue operations, security, ticketing, VIP experiences, guest lists, show settlement and daily communication with everyone involved.
Platinum Road works as a positive extension of the comedian and their team, overseeing the details necessary to keep a tour organized, financially accountable and professionally operated from one market to the next.
Depending on the needs of the client, Platinum Road can manage the complete touring operation, build and oversee a qualified road team, provide experienced touring personnel or supplement an existing management and production structure.

This work has included record-breaking and historic shows, multiple Netflix comedy specials, major theatre and arena tours, multi-show engagements and international tours spanning hundreds of shows across more than two dozen countries globally.
Platinum Road brings that experience, knowledge and network of trusted touring professionals to every production it supports.
Comedy Tour and Production Experience

Platinum Road’s experience includes major stand-up tours, cast and ensemble productions, international routing, Netflix comedy specials, arena events, and record-breaking and historic shows.
Schitt’s Creek: Up Close & Personal
Dave served as Tour Director for Schitt’s Creek: Up Close & Personal, featuring the cast of the nine-time Emmy Award-winning comedy series, including Daniel Levy, Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Noah Reid, and comedy legends Eugene Levy and the late Catherine O’Hara.
The production brought the cast, behind-the-scenes stories, video content, audience interaction and music together for major theatre audiences throughout the United States and Canada.
Dave led the day-to-day touring operation and served as the central point of tour business on the road between the cast, their representatives, management, promoters, venues, vendors and local staff.
He handled all venue advancing, travel, scheduling, rider creation and requirements, show settlement, production and stage management, show flow, video content and the overall execution of each show.
The original live show sold out in two minutes before expanding into a larger tour that included major markets and multiple-show engagements.
Dave Chappelle
Dave provided Production Management for multiple Dave Chappelle tours throughout the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
This included Chappelle’s four-show 50th birthday celebration at Madison Square Garden, featuring special guests from comedy and music including Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, John Mayer, The Roots, Travis Scott, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake and countless others appearing throughout the run.
Dave also production managed Chappelle’s record-breaking sold-out show at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, which was billed at the time as the largest comedy show ever presented in the region.
His work included multiple editions of Dave Chappelle’s Summer Camp at Wirrig Pavilion in Yellow Springs, Ohio. These outdoor shows regularly featured surprise comedy and music guests, frequent production changes and special effects including pyrotechnics and drones.
Dave also production managed Chappelle’s in-the-round arena tour, where the production, video, lighting, audio, security and audience experience had to be approached differently from a traditional end-stage comedy show.
His responsibilities included managing the overall production operation, hiring and overseeing road crews and production vendors, advancing venues, managing international production requirements and handling major special guests and substantial show changes while maintaining the execution of the overall production.
Dave’s work was also part of the Chappelle tour recognized as Comedy Tour of the Year at the 2024 Pollstar Awards.
Tom Segura
Dave served as Tour Producer and Director for Tom Segura’s I’m Coming Everywhere World Tour.
The tour included 303 shows across more than 20 countries, requiring extensive routing, travel, venue advancing, production management, financial oversight and management of touring and local teams throughout the world.
Maintaining consistency across a tour of this size required detailed systems that could also adapt to different venues, countries, currencies, labor environments and production capabilities.
Taylor Tomlinson and Jo Koy
Dave has also provided Tour Management for Taylor Tomlinson and Jo Koy, two of the biggest names currently touring in comedy.
While tour managing Taylor, the tour included many sold-out multi-night and multi-show engagements in major markets. The tour also included the taping of her newest Netflix comedy special, Prodigal Daughter. Her talent, professionalism and extraordinary connection with audiences helped make the tour an exceptional example of the level of comedy touring Platinum Road is proud to support.
His work with Jo Koy included tour managing him for the sold-out One Night Only! show with Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, the first stand-up comedy show held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The historic show also featured special musical guests including Babyface and Jamie Foxx. The tour included more than 30 shows throughout the United States and Canada, including two nights at Radio City Music Hall and shows in Seattle, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, Austin, Fargo and many other markets.
These credits represent only part of Platinum Road’s experience working directly with major comedy talent. Every comedian, manager and agent operates differently, and Platinum Road adapts to the needs of the client and the existing touring structure.

A Touring Company Built Around the Client
Platinum Road’s services are not limited to placing one individual on one tour.
The company can build and oversee a touring team based on the size, complexity and requirements of the production. This may include providing an experienced Tour Manager, Production Manager, Stage Manager, security professional or other touring personnel while Platinum Road continues to provide leadership, operational oversight and support to the client.
In some cases, a comedian may already have someone on the road they know and trust who could benefit from additional experience as the tour grows. Platinum Road can support that existing Tour Manager through consulting, system development and guidance while allowing the established touring relationship to remain in place.
Platinum Road can provide complete tour management, individual touring personnel, temporary coverage or additional support to an established management and production team. The objective is to give each client the right people and level of support for their production.
Extensive Promoter Representative Experience in Comedy and Live Podcasts
Platinum Road’s comedy experience extends far beyond the tours Dave has personally managed, directed or produced.
Throughout his career, Dave has worked extensively as a Promoter Representative, overseeing individual shows, multiple-show engagements and routed dates for many of the biggest and most respected names in comedy.
His Promoter Representative experience includes working with John Mulaney, Bill Burr, Ali Wong, Chris Rock, Brett Goldstein, Chelsea Handler, Jim Gaffigan, Aziz Ansari, Anthony Jeselnik, Iliza Shlesinger, Nick Kroll, Lewis Black, Tiffany Haddish, Theo Von, Marc Maron, Brian Regan, Larry the Cable Guy and many others.
Dave has also covered numerous live podcast and personality-driven comedy shows including: How Did This Get Made?, Girls Gotta Eat, Dax Shepard, My Dad Wrote a Porno, The Try Guys, The Guilty Feminist, Game Grumps and others.
Live podcast productions often combine comedy, conversation, audience interaction, multimedia content and special guests. While the format may differ from traditional stand-up, these shows require the same attention to venue advancing, production, security, show flow, talent requirements and settlement.
The Promoter Representative serves as the central point of tour business between the touring team, management, agent, promoter, venue, vendors and local departments. The role requires an understanding of what the tour expects, what the promoter is responsible for and what must happen locally to properly deliver the show.
Some of Dave’s responsibilities as a Promoter Representative have included:
-
Working with Promoters and Ticketing on show builds before on-sales from a production standpoint
-
Advancing production, labor and venue requirements
-
Working directly with Tour Managers, Production Managers and venue staff
-
Hiring and managing local production vendors
-
Reviewing staffing, security and no-cell-phone procedures
-
Managing dressing rooms, catering and backstage operations
-

-
Handling multimedia, audience interaction and special-guest requirements
-
Resolving production and operational issues as they arise
-
Representing the promoter throughout load-in, the show and load-out
-
Reviewing expenses and conducting show settlement
This experience gives Platinum Road a thorough understanding of comedy and live podcast touring from both sides of the business.
We understand what the comedian, manager, agent and touring team need from the promoter and venue. We also understand the local responsibilities, financial considerations and operational challenges involved in delivering those expectations in each market.
That perspective allows Platinum Road to communicate effectively with everyone involved, anticipate issues before they become problems and build stronger working relationships between the touring production, promoter and venue.
